Pittsburgh International Airport is located 16 miles NW of downtown Pittsburgh. PIT is the busiest airport in Western PA, serving an estimated 8,309,754 passengers in 2016. Pittsburgh International serves 19 airlines, with 80 destinations. PIT offers non stop flights throughout the United States, Europe, Canada, and the Caribbean. In 2017, Pittsburgh International was named Airport of the Year by Air Transport World magazine. The "AirMall" at PIT offers a variety of local, national and international retailers with a mix of sit down and fast food eateries. Other amenities include Kidsport, which has interactive activities provided by the Children's Museum and the Carnegie Museums of Pittsburgh, Military lounge open to active and retired US Military, a post office, ATM's located throughout the airport, and an Interfaith reflection room for meditation and reflection.
