Tampa International airport is located 6 miles west of downtown Tampa, Florida. TPA serves the Florida west coast, Hillsborough County and the city of Tampa. Tampa International serves 19 airlines with 85 non-stop destinations throughout North America, Central America, The Caribbean and Europe. TPA is one of two airports in the U.S. to host regularly scheduled charters to four Cuban cities. Tampa International has one three runways, one main terminal connected by monorail to 4 airside satellites. In 2016, TPA handled over 18 million passengers, making it the 29th busiest airport in North America. Amenities include a variety of pre and post security dining and shopping options, USO welcome center, a public art program that can be seen throughout the airport, a full service Sun Trust bank branch, ATM's, currency exchange, kids play area, mail center, non-denominational chapel, and free WIFI.
